Glory Christian Education Centre

The Only Free Christian School in Kenya

Restoring Hope Through Education, Faith, and Care

Glory Christian Education Centre is a faith-based school and rescue home in Nairobi, Kenya, founded by Beatrice Malika. It serves orphaned and vulnerable children living in extreme poverty by providing education, shelter and daily care-completely free of charge.

What We Do

Education

We provide quality Christian education to hundreds of children from Nairobi's most underserved communities, including Ngomongo, Njathaini, and Kiambiu.  Our goal is to break the cycle of poverty through learning.

Daily Care

Children receive nutritious meals, school uniforms, shoes, and essential support - meeting needs many families cannot provide

Ongoing Support

Our mission is made possible through donations and child sponsorships that fund teachers, supplies, and daily operations.

Our Mission

To rescue, feed, clothe, shelter, educate, restore, and empower orphaned and vulnerable children and their families through the hope of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Vision

To provide a safe environment where children are nurtured, restored, and equipped - while empowering families and communities toward self-reliance.

Our Core Values

Love, Compassion, Humility, Hope, Integrity, Accountability, Transparency, Honesty

Why It Matters

Many children we serve face extreme food insecurity and lack access to education.  At Glory Christian Education Centre, we believe transformation begins with a child, then reaches families, and ultimately impacts entire communities.

The Genesis and Growth of the Christian Education Centre

  • May 2013: Identifying the Crisis

    • Observed older children begging at Thika Road Mall instead of attending school.

    • Root Causes Identified: Chronic poverty, bedridden parents, parental alcoholism, and the inability to afford basic school uniforms.

  • December 2013: The Vision

    • Conceived the plan for a school providing free education specifically tailored to vulnerable children.

  • May 2014: Humble Beginnings

    • Launched in two mud-walled houses with an initial enrollment of 14 children.

    • Successfully transitioned local street children from begging to full-time education within the first month.

  • 2015 – Present: Expansion and Impact

    • Relocation: Moved to a larger, more spacious facility to accommodate rapid growth.

    • Current Reach: Now serving over 700 children, with enrollment continuing to rise.

    • Strategic Partnership: Collaboration with local authorities to identify and enroll the most at-risk children in the community.

Our Expanding Global Footprint

Today, our Christian Education Centre  has expanded to include three vibrant school campuses across East Africa, providing quality Christian education and hope to over 1,200 students.

Our primary hub in Nairobi serves a community of over 700 children, while our reach has extended across borders into Mombasa.

In Mombasa, we now operate two distinct campuses: a second location supporting 300 students and a third campus that has rapidly grown to accommodate over 200 additional students.

This growth reflects our unwavering commitment to reaching the most vulnerable children, ensuring that regardless of their location, they have access to the resources and support needed to build a brighter future.
